This classic British 'keeper ring,' from the United Kingdom, circa 1916 (according to the hallmarks inside the ring shank), is fashioned with a design that resembles a herringbone pattern with nail-head accents and is perfectly complemented by slightly flared split shoulders that lead to a gleaming size 5 1/2 ring shank. A keeper ring fits closely and was worn to prevent another--more valuable--ring from sliding off the finger. Preventative measures aside, it looks quite marvelous worn alone. Hand fabricated in 18K gold.
