ABOUT THIS WATCH

An especially chic French early-Art Deco watch - the eagle mark on the case tells us it was made before 1912 - beautifully hand-fabricated in platinum. The Swiss Glycine dial is framed in glittering diamonds and royal blue calibre sapphires, flanked by very stylish and iconically Deco geometric stirrups. We suspect the watch was originally worn on a black silk ribbon, the style of the day, then updated in the roaring twenties with the new style of the day, a supple platinum mesh bracelet finished with a bejeweled clasp, a synthetic sapphire framed in diamonds. A most superb and seductive timepiece. For a petite wrist, measures 6 1/2 inches long, 13/16 inch wide at widest point.
